The Sheet Bend

The sheet bend is used to join two ropes of different thick nesses together. the smaller diameter rope should pass around the larger one. This knot can be used to tie a rope to an eye for light loads. It is very fast to tie and when slipped, is on of the easiest to work with.

To Tie a Sheet Bend:

Form a bight (with the larger diameter rope).
